Today I have time to do some creating but I'm having a difficult time getting started. I have some great ideas but I just can't seem to get enough of a grasp on the specifics to move forward.
One of the projects should be so much fun! I have 12" quilt blocks that I made for the block of the month at quilt guild a couple years ago using the corset fabric that coordinates with my sewing room. Each block will be quilted individually and connected to the others with lingerie straps and attached to a net backing. I also have some pretty lace and beads that look like those little bows that are sewed onto underwear. In my mind, this is so cute, but as I'm trying to physically arrange all the elements, it's just not working.
Another idea in development is a new purse using curtain grommets and heavily embellished upholstery samples. I'm struggling with the shape. This idea needs to continue to mull around in my mind a little while longer until I can get a clearer picture.
Something that has been swirling in my thoughts for quite a while is a mixed media grouping called Flamingo Fantasy. I have some bright and fun fabrics and a variety of embellishments. The main hold up for this is the fact that I won't be able to display it when it is done because my house is for sale and I was told to take down all personal items except in my sewing room. Definitely an inspiration killer!
So, for today, I think I'll work on cleaning up my sewing room. Maybe all the clutter is blocking my inspiration....
